Jennifer Rodgers

Mrs. Rodgers is serving in her first year as Assistant Principal at Hixson Elementary. Prior to this year, she taught for a total of 22 years at several schools including Howard Elementary, Hardy Elementary, Woodstation Elementary (in Catoosa County, GA), Ganns MIddle Valley Elementary and Middle Valley Elementary. Of those 22 years, 17 were spent as a First Grade Teacher and 5 years  as a Fifth Grade Science Teacher. 

Mrs. Rodgers has been married for 18 years to her husband, Tim, who is a graduate of Hixson High School. They have two daughters. Sadie is 15 and is a 10th Grader at Hixson High School. Brentlea is 12 and is a 7th Grader at Hixson Middle. The Rodgers family says: GO WILDCATS!

Mrs. Rodgers LOVES sports...especially college basketball and football, as well as  international soccer! She is a HARDCORE Duke basketball fan, and married into the LSU football fan base! Her favorite soccer teams are the US and Germany! Besides viewing sports, she spends her free time READING! 

IN 1995, Mrs. Rodgers received her Bachelor of Science from UTC in Multidisciplinary School Learning: K-8. She received her Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Tusculum College in 1999, and most recently completed her Educational Specialist in Instructional Leadership through Lincoln Memorial University in 2016. 

Mrs. Rodgers is thrilled to be a part of the Hixson Elementary family, and looks forward to getting to know more and more HES families and community members.
